Start with TreatLyme.Net which is Marty Ross MD’s website which has a great overview and summary of the types of Antibiotics (herbal and traditional, he’s an MD so of course he knows his stuff, LLMD actually!).

Tinidazole and Minocycline may be the superior treatment for eradicating the pleomorphic persister cells and myriad resistant forms of Lyme and Co-Infections.
There are many antibiotics herbal and traditional that you can take for Lyme and Co-Infections such as Bartonella, Babesia, and Erlichia. These included but are not limited to: Doxycycline, Minocycline (both tetracyclines, Minocycline passes the blood brain barrier and is reputed to be better for neurological issues), Flagyl (generic name Metronidazole), Tinidazole (trade name Tindamax) thought to be more effective as a second generation biofilm and cyst buster. There’s also Bactrim, Amoxicillin, Azithromycin and many more including antifungals and malarials, Mepron, Cipro, Rifampin and many more which go beyond a simple understanding pharmacokinetics.
So two studies in particular (Sapi along with Brorson and Brorson) along with strong anecdotal evidence at LymeNetEurope suggest that a cyst buster and another or combination of antibiotic(s) i.e. Minocycline, Azithromycin or Clarithromycin, and Tinidazole are superior treatments for the pleomorphic bacteria B. Burgdorferi. Tinidazole is often preferred because it is second generation and has less side effects than Flagyl (Metronidazole).
Then on to the herbals which can be just as powerful: Grapefruit Seed Extract (powerful cyst busters), simple dietary antimicrobials such as Raw Garlic and Coconut Oil. And you’ll hear of many protocols including Byron White, Buhner, and Cowden. Many of them overlap in the type of herbals they use. Usually you’ll see Teasel Root, Japanese Knotweed Resveratrol, Cat’s Claw or Uña de Gato, Otoba Root which can yield results every bit as powerful as traditional antibiotics.
One of the best online antibiotic guides is Marty Ross MD’s website which has a wealth of information, and also Burrascano’s guide which you can find online. You will also find Dr. Horowitz’ online lectures to other doctors as he gives talks overseas on YouTube videos. These Horowitz videos are from a talk at Norvect in Norway 2014 (Norvect is a vector-borne illness conference in Scandinavia).
And Buhner’s Healing Lyme Book has information on Herbal Antibiotics called Buhner’s Protocol.
